White sand against a clear blue sky makes an even more dramatic image. I waited for a single cloud to hover in the area before making the shot.   Carlos L. Esguerra lives in Elmhurst, Queens, New York City. In the short period of four years doing landscape/cityscape photography, he has already had two solo shows, received several national and international awards, and his photographs have been selected for numerous juried exhibitions. His works have been published in Hasselblad's Forum magazine (4/2002), Photo Life in Canada (March 2003), and Shutterbug (December 2002). He was Manhattan Arts International's 'Artist of the Month' in May 2003. Hasselblad's Forum magazine said, "his love of color is evident in his images."
